She was predeceased by: her husband Cornelius Ewert; her siblings, Nick, Mary, Henry, Jake and Dave; and her parents, Nikolai Schmidt and Helena Schmidt (Martens).
She is survived by: her children, Ken Ewert (Rebecca), Bob Ewert (Sylvia), Judy Giesbrecht (Wilf), Lynda Giesbrecht (Ed) and Susan Ewert (Steve Kelly); her grandchildren, Rachael Weber (Paul), Sarah Johnson (Miguel), Kenny Ewert (Eden), Julia Doffin (Jason), Naomi Schricker (Andrew), Becky Jones (Atlee), Joshua Giesbrecht (Becky), Katelyn Giesbrecht, Breanne Schellenberg (Niko), Virginia Giesbrecht, Paige Esfahani (Ali), Holly Hanigan (Matt) and Jada Ewert; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Thomas, Isabella, Mikayla, Kenzie, Frankie, Louie, Liam, Zander, Jazlyn, Wrigley, Hailey, Paityn, Camden, Charlie and Sylvie.
