She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund Bartel; her parents, Katherine Sawatzky and Heinrich Sawatzky; and her siblings, Peter and Anna.
She is survived by: her sister Agnes; her children, Karl (Viola), Annie, Rudy (Hannah) and Peter (late Jorey); and her grandchildren, Shannon, Kevin, Yvonne, Rob, Elisha, Laura, Carrie and Neil.
