He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhardt Reimer and Sarah Reimer; his mother-in-law Karin Dueck; his siblings, Mary, Margaret, Beth, Katherine, Henry and Erna; and his grandson Craig.

He is survived by: his wife Heidi; his children, Christy and Robert (Rae Ann); his grandchildren, Chelsea, Caitlyn, Justin and Abigail; and his brother Marvin.
