He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gortson and Catherine Gortson; his siblings, David, Ernie, Linda and Mary; and his brother-in-law Jeff McKinnon.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his siblings, Liz Koop (Alf), Bob Gortson (Betty), Kathy McKinnon, Jon Gortson (Jennie) and Margie Vaillancourt (Jared); and his brother-in-law Peter Wall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
