He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schellenberg and Justina Schellenberg; and his brothers, Jacob, John and George.

He is survived by: his wife Irene; his sibling Justina; his children, Linda Van Bergen, David (Lisa), Joanne Friesen (Jim) and John (Barb); his grandchildren, Jamey (Stacey), Julie, Darby, Georgia, Katie (James), John, Robert (Beth), Ceydee and Sophia; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Victoria, Wesley and Jason.

In memory of Edwin, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Hospice Niagara .
