He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Beatrice; his former wife Bernice; his daughter Lorie; and his brother George.

He is survived by: his son Bruce (Susan); his granddaughter Olivia (Charles); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Arwen, Nathan and Aurora; his nieces, Georgia and Patricia; his grandchildren, Kristy, Nathan, Rebecca, Robert, David, James, Kurt, Sean and Joel; his great grandchildren, Kurtis, Gavin, Soleil, Kai, Lydia, Maria and Evelyn; and also, Dorothy (John), Robert (Ruth) and Patricia (Mike).

Donations would be kindly accepted in memory of Doug at the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
