She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Gagnon and Germaine Gagnon; her grandson Adam Smith; and her brother Laurier Gagnon. She is survived by: her husband Daniel J. Hornik of Victoria Harbour; her children, Monica Smith (Greg) of Brighton, Daniel Hornik II (Anne Miller) of Mount Uniacke, NS, Christine Wilson (Maurice) of Whitby, Michele Hornik of Belleville and Melanie Hornik of Victoria Harbour; her grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Megan Pawluk (Jonathan), Kristen Hornik and Daniel Hornik III; her great grandchildren, Sofia and Katie Smith; and her sisters, Paquerette Dery and Chantal Menard of Quebec. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at Calvary Community Church on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:45 with the Funeral Service to be held in the church at 12:00 p. m. Those wishing to attend the visitation and or the service are required to preregister by emailing rsvp@steelefuneralhome. ca or by calling the funeral home at 613-968-2273 between 9:00 and 5:00.
