She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Vella. She is survived by: her mother Carmela Mizzi; her sons, Joey (Rita) and Jamey (Megan); her siblings, Sam (Ursula), Tida, Rita, Rosie (Alan) and Frida; and her grandchildren, Jesse (Victoria), Adam, Maddy and Eden.
