Helen Sophy Cappon Obituary

Though Helen Sophy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helen Sophy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Benne DeJong and Ida DeJong; and her husband John Cappon.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the York Cemetery and Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON M2N5Z5). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Willowdale Christian Reformed Church (70 Hilda Ave, North York, ON M2M1V5). She later contracted COVID-19, and when she required more care than Valleyview could provide, she was transferred to Humber River Hospital.
