She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bigelow and Muriel Bigelow; her husband Tom Bates; and her siblings, Grace Kelly (late Gerald), Doreen Arthurs (Everett) and Drummond Bigelow.
She is survived by: her children, Heather Kirby (Mike), Wendy DaDalt (Paul) and Glen (late Laurel); her grandchildren, Amy (Paul Duchesne), Robin (Kurt MacSweyn), Erika (Danny Duval), Stephanie (Cody Allard) and Lawren DaDalt; her great grandchildren, Duncan, Finley, Thomas and Isla; and her siblings, Garnet (late Regina), Emma MacDonald (late Donald) and Marilyn Hull (late Donald). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
