She was predeceased by : her child Shawn; her brother John Allen (Ruth); her parents, Viva (Johnston) and Percy; and her brother-in-law Leslie Cass.

She is survived by : her husband Cecil; her children, Wayne, Audrey Dumoulin (Keith Stacey), Gayle Rutherford (Wayne) and Devon (Crystal Grapes); her grandchildren, Julie (Patrick), Nathan (Sarah-Jane), Nikki, Melody, Jeremy, Adelle, Sloan, Jesse and Shawna; her great grandchildren, Lily, Caleb and Liam; and her brother Murray Allen (Shirley).

In lieu of traditional floral tributes, those wishing to honour Maureen's memory are encouraged to contribute to the Prescott and Russell Residence Foundation's "Lift Me Up!
