She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith Carkner and Mabel McCaskill. She is survived by: her daughters, Robin (Kurt MacSweyn), Erika (Danny Duval) and Stephanie (Cody Allard); her grandchildren, Duncan, Finley and Thomas; her siblings, Margo (David Impey), Al Carkner (Patricia) and Linda (Scott Ray); and her sisters-in-law, Heather Kirby (Michael) and Wendy DaDalt (Paul). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Laurel loved to be active, one of her passions was cross country skiing, a donation to the Ski-Vent-Clic c/o Karl Holmes 2730 Maplewood Drive, Hawkesbury, Ontario K6A 2R2 or to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation Suite 508, 36 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1A1 would be appreciated.
