She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Laviolette and Emilia Fauteux; her husband Stephen Zelak; her close friend Norman Dewar; her daughter Dianne Watters; and her siblings, Bertha Trottier, Jeannine Desabrais, Paulette Boyer and Paul Laviolette Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Linda Ethier (Bruce Trowsse) and Roy (Terry Arthurs). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
