He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy Thornton and Lorne Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Judy MacRae, Kimberley (Blair Pattee), Cynthia (Eric MacSweyn), David Jr. (Allison MacDonald), Thérèse Lalonde, Melanie, Matthew and James; his grandchildren, Jacob, Sawyer, Zoe, Lily, Devin and Aryiah; and his close friend Valerie Stonehouse.
