Affectionately known as Sid, he was born in George Village, Tableland, Trinidad & Tobago, West-Indies in 1929 to Pooran Majaralie and Jasseran Alibocas and was one of fourteen children.
He was quite active in his youth, commenced working at an early age and enjoyed the many wonders of the Caribbean outdoors. A self-described ‘country-boy,’ Sid often fondly reminisced on blissful childhood days spent alongside his siblings climbing trees and roaming the lands of his parents’ coffee and cocoa plantation.

After arriving in Canada, he obtained employment in his chosen profession as an Accountant for the National Health and Welfare Service in Don Mills, Ontario. Later, he took up a post at Texas Instruments in Richmond Hill where he worked until his retirement.
Sadik was preceded in death by his beloved parents and 9 of his siblings (Kibby, Stella, Asmath, Sophie, Hanna, Jaleel, Ruby, Gracie and Booksie) and is presently survived by his remaining sister Icie, and 3 brothers: Nizam, Fazal, and Freddy.
He is also survived by his wife Toy and 3 children: daughters, Judith (Domingo), Joan (Albert) and son, Wayne (Priscilla).
His legacy continues with 7 grand-children: Jeffrey (Atefeh), Christopher (Vera), Jillian (Bernard), Mark (Lauren), Dwayne, Joel (Angela) and Shannon (Justin) along with 6 great-grand-children: Amani, Zoie, Evan, Benjamin, Isabelle and William. To his family, to whom he was deeply devoted, he stood as a pillar of quiet strength, an ever-present helping hand, and a gentle purveyor of wisdom,
