It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guilherme Vincent Mendes in Unionville, Ontario, born in Georgetown, Ontario, who passed away on January 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy and Juliet; and his brother Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Rita Mendes of Franca; his children, Susan Mendes (John Carruthers) of Franca, Debra Mendes (Marc Poirier) of Franca Poirier, Mary Mendes (Steve Maxwell) of Franca, Diane Mendes (John Baldassarra) of Franca and Vincent Mendes (Susan Arthur) of Franca; his siblings, Maureen and Michael; and also, Precy and Father Rick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill on Friday, January 8, 2021.
While Vincent faced bravely the debilitating challenges of Alzheimer's disease over the past 5 years, he never complained.
