It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lyle Emmett Mater in Tweed, Ontario, born in Wainfleet, Ontario, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Mater and Helen Mater; and his brothers, Clyde, John and Reid.
He is survived by: his wife E. Jean Mater; his children, Debi (Larry Sarginson), Dwight Mater, Shelley (late Peter Robertson), Lyle Mater, Lori Mater (John Wannamaker) and Scott Mater (Sue); his grandchildren, Dora, Michael, Shawn, Jenny, Kyle, Veniesha, Caeleigh, Jonathan, Melissa, Stephen and Mark; his great grandchildren, Kai, Cheyanne, Liam, Tyson, Jase, Keely, Aiden, Sebastian, Blake and Dallas; and his sisters, Carolyn Roik and Brenda Muratori. He is also survived by his in-laws and his many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID 19, Weaver Family Funeral Home and Stockdale Cemetery will be following all provincial guidelines. During the Graveside Service the following restrictions will be adhered to; contact tracing will be taken, masks are mandatory and social distancing will be maintained.
