He is survived by: his sisters, Renate Sutherland (late Graeme) and Astrid Barber (Jim); his children, Christian Bidner (Ann), Tim Martin (Jennie), Terry Martin (Jan), Kelly Martin and Angela Douglas; his grandchildren, Emilie (Sam Agnew), Alisha, Jamie (Laura) of Cole, TJ, Jesse (Carrie-Anne), Kaitlyn, Keenan, Kyleigh, Aislynn, Finleigh, Noah, Adalyn, Luka, Jack, Everleigh, Blake and Logan; and his wife Betty.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wing Royal Canadian (230 N Murray St, Quinte West, ON K8V6R7). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Morning Old Boys Club.

In lieu of flowers and with Dieters love of the wild and animals, donations to Fixed for Life Quinte or the Loyalist Humane Society Prince Edward County would be appreciated.
