He was predeceased by: his son Allan Struyk; and his grandchildren, Abigale, Jonah, Brady, Calissa and Kennedy.

He is survived by: his spouse Debb Walker; his sons, Mark (Shannon Pennington) and Darrin (Jill); and his siblings, Riet VanVark (late Gerald), John (Andrea), Netty Prins (late Martin), Willie TenWolde (late Hil), Julia Kamik (Ben) and Anne. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
