She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Kent Broome; her children, Anita (Dave), Corina (Dave), Jacinda (Chad) and Quentin "Chum" (Tina); her grandchildren, Brooklyn (Nate), Victoria (Mark), Katelyn, Maggie, Ben, Lily, Bridget, Ronan, Aidan and Quinn; her siblings, Catherine Horan (Charlie) and Tom Kearns (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Jazzlin, Sylvie, Hannah and Sadie.

Donations are gratefully appreciated in Rita's memory to Matthews House Hospice, Alzheimer's or Canadian Cancer Society.
