With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Voula Maragkos (Toronto, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Voula left this world on January 16, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Voula farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Voula is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgios Paraskevakos and Despina Paraskevakos. She is survived by: her husband Efstartios Maragkos; her daughter Jennie; her grandchildren, Dimitra and Stephen; and her siblings, Helen, Peter and Nick. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ralph Day Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, ON M4H1H8). A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
