Velia Speranza Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2025, Velia Speranza (Toronto, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Velia farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Velia is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Alberto Speranza; her children, Perry Speranza and Fabrizia O'Neill (Michael Carnegie); and her grandchildren, Justin O'Neill (Samantha), Evyn O'Neill (Candice) and Krystyn O'Neill (Matt Kovalchuk).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel (2058 Kipling Ave, Toronto, ON M9W4J9). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Church (2547 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON M9V3A8). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 ON-27, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A5).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
