As we bid Sam farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sam is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ann Portman; his children, Michael Mendy Slodovnick, Lela (Moshe Fishkin, Sr.), Raemona Slodovnick and Avi Slodovnick (Debbie Siemiatycki); and his parents, Yisroel Yaakov and Perle Slodovnick. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Kehal Israel Cemetery. A reception was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:15 PM at the Sukkah (103 Rue Woodlawn, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9A1Z4).
