Rita Scanga Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2025, at the age of 95, Rita Scanga (Toronto, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Scanga to pay them a last tribute.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Rita is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rita's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her sister Franca (Salvatore La Marca). She is survived by: her husband Angelo; her children, Pasquale (Francesca) and Melina (Ross); and her grandchildren, Alessia, Luca, Eliana and Cassandra (Mark). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6B3S9). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave W, North York, ON M6A1C3). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W5T1).
