She was predeceased by: her spouse Christe T. Sapona; and her brothers, Werner and Peter. She is survived by: her daughters, Regina H. Sapona (Stan Turpen), Sonia Wagener of Fort Worth, TX and Ingrid Sapona of Toronto, ON. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Regina to the Christe T. and Regina M. Sapona Scholarship Fund at the University of Cincinnati. Checks should be addressed to the University of Cincinnati Foundation, indicating "Sapona Scholarship S201124" in the memo line.
