He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert and Dorothy Meek; his former wife Mary; and his sister Elizabeth Burgess Benedict. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen and Ruthie; his wife J. Hilary Cook; his stepdaughters, Kathy and Jennie; his nephew Dale Benedict (Marion); his great-nephew Eric (Kassi); and his great-niece Brenda (Dan Saban). He is also survived by his great-great nephews and niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity College Chapel (6 Hoskin Ave, Toronto, ON M5S1H8).
