It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Morton Mintzis in Toronto, Ontario, born in Montréal, Québec, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his sons, Matt (Chantal) and Adam (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Sage, Phoenix, Tenzin and Levi; and his siblings, Jerry and Marilyn.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM.

His contribution to the Kootenay book world has been significant.
