Maria Rago Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maria Rago (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 90, on February 14, 2025. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She is survived by: her husband Vito; and her children, Tony (Carmela), Vira (Matt) and Franco. She is also survived by her siblings, her cherished nieces and nephews as well as her in-laws.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel) (8003 Weston Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L0K6). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L3W4). A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St, Concord, ON L4K1A7).
