She was predeceased by: her husband Cavan Atkinson; her parents, James Albert and Isabele Hewitt; her stepmother Isobel Hewitt; her brother James Arthur Hewitt (Emily); her nephew Jim Hewitt; and her son-in-law Jeff Anderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy (Norbert), Liz and Karen (Michael); her grandchildren, Ben (Katy), Cody (Cheri), Carly (Kyle), Amanda (Matt), Matt (Claudia), Garrett, Lauren (Dylan) and Jennifer; her nieces and nephews, Linda Upshaw, Atkinson, Jeff (Barb), John, Ross (Cecelia) and Stuart (Colette); and also Doug (Janet). She is also survived by her 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kane-Jerrett North York Funeral Home (6191 Yonge St, North York, ON M2M 4K4). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Following the pandemic and into Peggy's final years, Joylyn provided exceptionally loving care to mom.
