It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lauri Edward Maki (Toronto, Ontario), born in South Gillies, Ontario, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Impi Alisa (Tissari) and Kristian Jousmaki; his brother Edwin; and his cousin Nora Robertson. He is survived by: his former wife Sheila Maki; his grandchildren, Eric Foster (Andrea Hitchman), Lauren Foster (Peter Kuling), Lyndsey McNally, Kevin Foster (Danielle Kendall), Nadia Maki, Ali-Zamaan Maki, Sarah Logan (Francois Lecavalier) and Janna Logan (Michael Filipowicz); his great grandchildren, Lucas McNally, Aiden Foster, Xavier Kuling, Westley Kuling, Isla Logan Lecavalier and Sophia Logan Lecavalier; and his wife Francine.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the York Cemetery and Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON M2N5Z5).
