John Charles Bennett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Charles Bennett (Toronto, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hedley Clement Edward Bennett and Ellen Bennett; his brothers, Hedley, Paul and Nelson; and his wife Doreen Isabelle Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, John Douglas (Heather Bennett) of Clarksburg, Thomas of Montreal, Ellen (Daniel Laskowitz) of Chapel Hill, NC and Kathleen (Michael Bracken) of Toronto; his grandchildren, Emily, Eric, Jill Bennett, Austin, Ariane Cook, Sarah, Michael Laskowitz, Joel Bracken, Paul and Jacqueline Bennett; and his great grandchildren, June and Leon Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles-Newbigging Chapel (1403 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4S2N4). A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Room Monday.
