He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Ferguson of Ennismore; his parents, William Ernest and Muriel Brumwell; and his siblings, Grenville (Bonnie) and Tim (Sylvia).

He is survived by: his brothers, Clint (late Moira), John (Laurie), Doug (Kim) and David (Cathy). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
