As George departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy George leaves behind.
He is survived by: his wife Stamatia Tharrenos; his children, Flora Carreiro (Joe Carreiro) and Jimmy Tharrenos (Debbie Tharrenos); and his grandchildren, Patricia Kanichis, Stamatia Tharrenos, Haroula Tharrenos and Georgie Tharrenos.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ralph Day Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, ON M4H1H8). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
