She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Sooknanan and David Sooknanan; and her husband Jacob. She is survived by: her siblings, Lionel and Barbara; her children, Stella, Radica and Joash; and also, Poolmania, Annette, Lynnette, Ingrid, Jacob Jr., Leslie, Joel, Angeline, Deryck and Cydian. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turner & Porter - Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Turner & Porter - Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6E1C6).
