She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Shearer; her parents, Cecil Shirley and Alice Shirley; and her siblings, Jane Coley, Cyril Shirley, Florence Schiller, Joseph Shirley, Samuel Shirley, Lawrence Shirley and Baye Shirley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Yvonne Reid, Gloria Talford and Etta Gilbert (Cecil); her siblings, Louise Young, Lucy Andrews (David), Olive Young and Joel Shirley (Beverly); and her son Radcliffe McFarlane (Deborah). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem United Church of Jesus (1 Leswyn Rd, Toronto, ON M6A2W9). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W5T1). A reception was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Bethlehem United Church of Jesus (1 Leswyn Rd, Toronto, ON M6A2W9).
