He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Anne Thompson; his children, Travis Thompson (Dani Hilborn) of Tiverton, Diane Thompson (Ryan Colangeli) of St. Catharines, Kenny Thompson (Tiffany Goulding) of Kincardine and Trevor Thompson of Tiverton; his grandchildren, Zora, Katie, Lily and Giovanni; his mother Eleanor Thompson of Kincardine; his siblings, Gord Thompson (Judy) of Kincardine, Nancy Alexander (Stuart) of Glammis and Allan Thompson (Roula) of Ottawa; his parents-in-law, Terry Salmon of Paisley, Eric McKenzie (Laura) of Port Dover, Ken McKenzie (Cathy) of Wingham, Cathy Fischer (Al) of Mildmay, Rob McKenzie (Kim) of Walkerton and Cheryl Stangen of Walkerton; his father Ron Thompson; his parents-in-law, John and Marjorie McKenzie; and his sister-in-law Sharon McKenzie. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Purdy Cemetery or Parkinson's Society of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
