He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Reist; his parents, Addison Reist and Laura Reist; and his siblings, Vera Bartman, Adela Holling, Carolyn Johannes, Alma Schweitzer, Harvey, Lorne and Percy Reist.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Reist (Marilyn Reburn) of Underwood, Brian Reist (Mary Montgomery) of Holland Landing, Sharon Reist (John Kimlin) of London, David Reist (Judy Dixon) of Chute, Raymond Reist (Barb McEwen) of Kinburn and Arlene Reist (Sven Frackelton) of Sarasota, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Julie Kruiderink (Mike), Kevin Reist, Nicholas Reist, Ben Reist, Christine Reist, Michael Reist, Andrew Zeitz and Eric Reist. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
