He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannette Gélinas; his daughter Suzanne Hérault; and his siblings, Aimée Gélinas, Yvon Gélinas and Noella Moreau.

He is survived by: his close friend Bernadette Moreau; his children, Mike Gélinas and Joanne Gélinas (Alain Audy); his grandchildren, Jessica, Stéphanie, Isabelle, Zack, Josée, Jacynthe and Mathew; his great grandchildren, Jazlyn, Jeannette, Jemma, Abigail, Emerson, Teya, Wiley, Davis and Leo; his brothers, Roger Gélinas, Rosaire Gélinas, Gérard Gélinas and Lorian Gélinas; and also, Chrisitne, Nancy and Marc.
