It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Prout (Timmins, Ontario), born in Cobalt, Ontario, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Bilodeau and Leo Bilodeau; her husband Bill Prout; her daughter Ellen Marie Small; her sons-in-law, Dennis Harper and Elwood Small; her granddaughter Tina Shaughnessy; and her great grandchild Ethan Prout.

She is survived by: her children, Doreen Shaughnessy, Wayne Prout (Judy), Debbie Harper (Leo), Clifford Prout (Marlene) and Gordon Prout; and her sister Edna Labelle (late Serge). She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
