He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kay O'Connell and Al O'Connell; his wife Linda; his granddaughters, Natasha Gaynor and Julia Gaynor; his children, Sean O'Connell and Shannon O'Connell-Bell; his son-in-law Keith Bell; his loyal bull terrier Fiona; his siblings, Michael O'Connell (late Petra) of South Africa and Kathleen Douglas of California; his parents-in-law, Joan Green (Henry) of Alberta and Allan Green; his siblings-in-law, Marcus Green (Kathy) of Louisiana, Brenda Graham and Sandra Craig (late John) of Alberta; his nieces and nephews, Brooke Thomson (Michael) of Illinois, Kerry Fisher (Wayne) of California, Kim Reunert (David) of South Africa, Bryan O'Connell of Germany, Charles Douglas of Massachusetts, Connie Craig of Alberta, Kaitlyn Bazzell (Taylor) of Louisiana and Connor Green of Florida; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Duncan, Alistair, Natalie Fisher, Annabelle Reunert and Claire Bazzell.
