Michel Laforest Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michel Laforest (Timmins, Ontario), who passed away on May 7, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Laforest and Emelda Laforest; his brothers, Roland, Laurent, Gilles and Donald; and his in-laws, Bert and Lina Larche.

He is survived by: his wife Lise Laforest; his sons, Alain Laforest of Niagara Falls and René Laforest (Allison Kirkbride) of Timmins; his grandchildren, Knox and Sloan; his siblings, Yvonne Levesque (Laurent), Thérèse Legault (late André), Fernand Laforest (Fernande), Léon Laforest (Claudette), Jean-Guy Laforest (Sharon), Lorraine Whissel (Larry) and Marc Laforest (Kim); and his sisters-in-law, Chris, Tina, Jeannine, Joanne Larche (Brent Woods) and Denise Larche (Réjean Thériault). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In his honour, remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian War Amps would be greatly appreciated.
