He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Roger and Claire Fortier. He is survived by: his child Hollie Young-Fortier; his parents, Gerard Fortier and Edith Fortier; his sister Melissa Fortier (Matt MacDonald); his nieces and nephews, Rachel Cooney and Charlie MacDonald; the mother of his child Carrie Young; his aunts and uncles, Richard (Murielle), Denis, Gilles (Nicole), Rita Gougeon, Rose Fortier, Lorraine Leblond (Yvan), Jean-Pierre (Lucie), Raymond Fortier, Therese Fortier and Mike Fortier; his grandparents, Rejean and Helen Beaulieu; and his friend Anthony Martin (Mary-Lou).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre (150 Balsam St S, Timmins, ON P4N2E2). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
