He was predeceased by: his child Jody Simard; and his parents, Joseph Simard and Mary Simard. He is survived by: his child Chandra Simard; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Jayden; and his siblings, Patricia Ranger (Guy) and Fay Dubien. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Remembrance donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Timmins Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

“I would like to send my condolences to the family of Joe Simard who was a long ago friend who I have many memories with. Joe and I became friends when we moved to Cedar Street, a couple of houses from his place when we teenagers.. I knew his family and sisters as we’ll as his Mom and Dad. We loss touch in the mid 60s but for some reason, always remembered his birthday. So Happy Birthday, Joe, .....from Al Majander”
