He was predeceased by: his father Donald Laforest. He is survived by: his daughter Elliot Boucher-Laforest; his mother Tina Laforest; his siblings, Nathalie Potvin (Marc Lachapelle), Joseph Laforest (Erin Lehto) and Bobby Potvin (Carry Campsall); and his nieces and nephews, Marshall Laforest, Logan Laforest, Kaylana Potvin, McKinley Potvin, Kensington Potvin and Parker Potvin.

Remembrance donations to his daughter's education trust fund would be greatly appreciated (cheque payable to Ashley Boucher, and mailed to 10 Kingsmill, Guelph, ON, N1E 5W2).
