He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Johnson and Diane Johnson (Dupre); his brother Ronald (Ella May Johnson); and his stepson Dwayne Therriault. He is survived by: his sisters, Yvonne Turrie (late Dave) of Thunder Bay, Clara and Clair Johnson of Timmins; his son Mark Johnson (Sharon Downie); and his stepchildren, Susan Boss (William) and Terry Therriault (Lorette). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, grand children and great grandchildren.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Howie's honor to the Extendicare in Timmins.
