He was predeceased by: his former wife Claire Bois; his son-in-law Roger Ladouceur; his parents, Joseph Bois and Laurette Bois; and his siblings, Raymond Bois and Ghislaine Bois.

He is survived by: his wife Joy Searles; his children, Gilles Bois (Louise), Huguette Hanna (Chris) and Alain Bois (Cindi); his stepchildren, Bruce Searles (Betsie), Melanie Searles (Wayne) and Matthew Searles (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Leila (John), Jena (Aaron), Samantha Ladouceur, Samantha Maki, Skyla (Kyle), Joshua, Justin, Brandon, Ethan and Kingston; his stepgrandchildren, Ben, Ashton, Evelyn and Harleigh; and his siblings, Noël Bois (Lise), Georgette Bois, Paul Bois, Henriette Robitaille, Angéline Dolbec, Madeleine Bois (Réal Larochelle), Roger Bois (Diane), Rose-Hélène Rivard (René), Lise Bois and Camille Bois (Lise). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
