He was predeceased by: his former wife Armande (Legault); and his son William Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Astrid (Steinke); his sons, Walter (Evangeline), Philip, Harold (Patsy), Frederick (Sherri) and Alex (Jenn); his grandchildren, Shane, Samantha (Frank), Audrey-Maude, Carra (Luke), Joshua, Zandra, Mellissa, Andrew, Connor, Alexis, Derek, Cassandra and Tyson Malo; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Charlotte, McKenzie and Kane; his siblings, Diedrich Schmidt (Pauline) and Hannegret Voigts; his sister-in-law Helga Schmidt; his mother-in-law Agnes Steinke; his sister-in-law Gisela Schole (Alfred); and also Germany.
Any person wishing to attend the visitation MUST call the funeral home on Wednesday June 2, 2021, and Thursday June 3, 2021, between 9am and 4pm to schedule a time. COVID restrictions are in place.
