He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Bender and Olive Bender. He is survived by: his spouse Gioela; his siblings, Lyle (Jan) of Tavistock, Marlin (Brenda) of Tavistock and Kevin (Wendy) of Tavistock; his nieces and nephews, Karla Becker and Dwayne Becker; his children, Beau Destun, Quinn Destun, Kim Destun and Jordan Destun; his father-in-law Marcello Comand (late Vilma); his sister-in-law Carla Comand-Desmarais (Gaetan); and also, Ethan Bender, Wyatt Bender, Amy Bender, Jacob Bender, Christopher Bender, Erin Bender, Miles, Owen, Stephanie Bender, Kirk MacRae, Reeve Bender, Justin Bender, Inge Bender, Reverie, Ivy, Gabriella Brunet (Darcey), Kora Desmarais and Isabella Desmarais.
