He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, Russell Newton Morin (Deanna), Samuel Newton (Leah), Sarah Turner and Mary Lorra "Lo" Bush (Brian); his sisters, Sandra Lahaie (Porcupine), Maureen Newton of Toronto, Margaret Matsumura (North Carolina), Lorraine Newton-Comar (Andrew) and Mary Newton (Newmarket); his grandchildren, Foster, Ella May, Everett Newton and Robbie Turner; his siblings-in-law, Nancy, Robert Villeneuve of Hanmer, George, Lisa Prine of Kitchener, Lynne Prine of Port Colborne, Sharon, Nick Neely of Oklahoma, Lyne Ballantyne (late Wayne) and Brantford; and his nieces and nephews, Brian, Jennifer, Jonathan, Rhia, Kimiko, Kenji, Gregory, Noah, Keegan, Chad, Katrina, Jordan, Emily, Shannon, Chris, Rachel, Lauren, Joey, Alis, Jake, Jon, Kim, Nick, Kathy and Carrie.
