He is survived by: his siblings, Russell Bates (Colette) of Timmins, Joyce Brake (Fred) of Stonewall, Doreen Bates of Calgary, Jeannette Daly (Erin) of Midland, Wendy Bates of Chelmsford and Christine Berlingeri (Anthony) of Timmins. He is also survived by children, horses and dogs.
